Billing
Depfloy uses Stripe for subscriptions, billing, and all payment processing. The Billing page lives under Settings → Billing (avatar dropdown in the top-right of the Console).
Billing is admin-only — your role in the current organization needs to allow viewing and changing organization settings. Owners and Admins have access; other roles do not see the Billing page in their settings menu.
What you can do #
From the Billing page you can:
- View your current plan and the features it includes
- Upgrade or downgrade your subscription on the Plans sub-page
- Update your payment method through the Stripe Customer Portal
- Download invoices for past billing periods
- Cancel or resume your subscription through Stripe; the Billing page shows the date when a scheduled cancellation takes effect
The Stripe Customer Portal handles cards, invoices, and tax IDs in their own UI, opened in a new tab from the Billing page.
Free trial #
New accounts start with a 7-day, full-feature trial that does not require a credit card. The Billing page shows its end date and lets you open the plan picker when you are ready. Starting a trial does not create a Stripe subscription.
When the trial ends, choose a plan to restore plan-gated access. Billing remains available so you can subscribe or resolve an existing payment state.
Choosing a plan #
If you follow a plan link before creating an account, Depfloy remembers the valid plan and monthly or yearly period after signup or sign-in. The choice appears only when you open the plan picker; it does not open checkout, start a subscription, or charge a payment method automatically.
An existing subscription takes precedence over a remembered choice. Active subscribers use Change plan to open Stripe, while an ended subscription preselects its previous plan and billing period when Subscribe again is opened.
Subscription states and recovery #
The current plan card reports what needs attention:
- Confirming — after Stripe checkout, the page waits for subscription confirmation and checks again automatically. If confirmation takes longer, use Check again before starting another checkout.
- Active or Trial — plan details and applicable usage limits are shown.
- Payment required or Paused — open Stripe to update the payment method or resume the subscription.
- Ending soon — cancellation is scheduled for the displayed date. Keep subscription opens Stripe if you want to resume before then.
- Ended or Checkout expired — choose Subscribe again or start a new plan selection.
If you leave Stripe without completing checkout, the Billing page reports that checkout was canceled and leaves plan selection available. Stripe checkout and portal errors are shown on the same page.
Server provider charges #
Your Depfloy subscription covers Depfloy’s server-management and deployment service. The VPS, cloud instance, bandwidth, storage, and other infrastructure remain on your provider account and are billed separately by that provider.
