Organizations
A Depfloy account can host multiple organizations. Each organization has its own servers, projects, members, and roles. Use organizations to separate environments (Production / Staging) or to isolate clients if you run an agency.
The Organizations page lives under Settings → Organizations (avatar dropdown in the top-right of the Console).
What you see
The page lists every organization you belong to in this account:
- Name and a unique slug
- Default badge — your default organization is the one that opens when you sign in
- Your role in that organization (Owner / Admin / Manager / Developer / Viewer)
- Member count
Create an organization
Click New Organization, choose a name, and pick an avatar colour. Whether you can create more organizations is gated by your plan — if your plan does not allow it, the New Organization button is disabled with a hint to upgrade.
The user who creates an organization becomes its Owner automatically.
Rename or change avatar colour
Click Edit on an organization you can modify. You can change the display name and avatar colour. The slug is generated from the name and is not editable separately.
"Manage members →" shortcut
Each organization row has a Manage members → action that switches the Console to that organization and opens its Members page in one click — useful when you need to update permissions across several organizations.
Default organization
Mark an organization as your default so it opens automatically when you sign in. Each user has their own default — yours does not affect your teammates.
Delete an organization
Only the Owner can delete an organization, and only if it is not the default. Deleting an organization:
- Removes all member assignments to that organization.
- Leaves the servers and projects in your account — they continue to exist but are no longer assigned to any organization.
The Owner of another organization can later move those servers in. See Server Security → Transfer to Organization.
